Will your
software convert my PDF files?
All products from Visual Integrity are designed to
convert PDF files that have been generated by
applications and not by scanners. These files are
comprised of lines, curves and text and are scalable.
Our products can not generate editable objects from
scanned drawings or sketches. To be a bit more
technical, our software performs vector-to-vector
conversions and not raster-to-vector conversions. To see
whether your file is a scalable PDF or a raster PDF,
please try this
simple
test.

I purchased your software, but now it asks me for a license key. Where can I find
it? The license key is sent after your order
is checked and assigned a serial number by one of our customer service specialists. This can take up to one business day, depending on
office hours and time differences. If you're in a hurry to get started,
please contact support@visual-integrity.com to
request a key. We will respond as soon as possible. Please check your spam
filters and firewalls to ensure that they have not
blocked the confirmation mail.

There are
grey horizontal and vertical lines in the output, that are not supposed to
be there! What's wrong? As a control mechanism, the trial installation
imprints a watermark on every
file it produces. This watermark consists of a grid of grey horizontal and vertical
lines as well as some text. Note
that this watermark can also affect the scaling of the output file. After
you purchase a license and receive a full license key, the watermark will
no longer be inserted into the output. To see a sample conversion without
the watermark, you are welcome to send a sample file to
support@visual-integrity.com.

The text
is there in the output, but the fonts look all wrong. How can I get the
right fonts? To comply with the licensing regulations of font suppliers, our software does not embed
fonts in the vector output formats. Instead, it references the fonts by name. The
output file relies on the target system to have the referenced fonts
available and expects the font names to match. Often, the same font may
have several different names. Arial Bold, for example, may be referenced
ambiguously as "EHJPKB+Arial-Bold" in the original file. This is
Greek to the target application so the font name must be "mapped" so
that it displays correctly. If the font is not mapped correctly, the
closest font will be substituted. In this example, "EHJPKB_Arial-Bold"
must be mapped as "Arial" with font style "Bold". See this

- My vector (WMF, CGM, DXF or HPGL) output has lines and fills flying all over the place! What is this? These file formats do
not support a graphical feature called cropping, which is what PDF and
PostScript use to show only part of an object (for example, a circular
part of a picture). To overcome this structural limitation, we have
developed a very special feature that simulates the PS/PDF cropping
commands in these output formats. To apply it, select the "Emulate PS/PDF
cropping" feature in the General tab opt the Options menu.
