How do I start the program?
Like any other Windows application. There are several ways to start the software:
- By double-clicking on the product icon on your Windows desktop
- Via Start > Programs > Visual Integrity > pdf2xxx > pdf2xxx
(xxx = cad, picture or image, depending on what you
purchased)
- By finding the Visual Integrity / pdf2xxx installation folder using Windows Explorer, and double-clicking on pdf2xxx.exe
- By dragging a PDF file onto the product icon on your desktop or in Windows Explorer
How do I use the program?
The software has been designed to be very easy to use:
- 1 - Find and select the PDF file you want to convert using standard Windows browse functionality.
- 2 - Change or review settings by clicking on the Options… button
- 3 - Change the name and location of the output file if desired
- 4 - Convert!
Where can I learn more about the using the different
conversion options?
In the Help file that is included with
the software. Just click on the Help button
found in the bottom right corner of the software dialog. A
new screen will open, with a table of content for all the
topics that the Help file contains. You can expand the
outline to find the section on Conversion Options or search
the index using the Find command.
Why can’t I find my PDF file?
The software only displays files with a
.pdf extension. If the file you want to convert has a
different extension, but you are sure that it is a PDF file,
you should rename it to include the .pdf extension.
How do I select more than one file for conversion?
You can’t. pdf2picture, pdf2image and
pdf2cad products are designed to be simple to use and to
convert just one file at a time. When you finish the
conversion, choose New Conversion to select another PDF file
for conversion. If you want to be able to convert more than
one file per run, you can upgrade to PDF FLY which offers
batch conversion and more conversion input and output
formats.
Why do I get a warning about unknown fonts at the end
of the conversion?
This warning is to let you know that
your PDF file uses font names that our software does not
recognize as standard font names. If that happens, the text
in your output file may look different than in the PDF when
you open it in your target application. See the Installation
FAQ for more information on how to solve that problem.
This not an error – just a reminder that some fine-tuning
may be required.
The software shuts down, hangs or returns an ERROR.
What’s the problem?
We can not assess the problem without
seeing your file. Your PDF file could be corrupt or our PDF
interpreter might not be able to digest it properly. Please
send the PDF file to
support@visual-integrity.com for analysis, and let us
know what product and version you are using. |
