Do I need a license key to start my evaluation?
Not anymore. Now all products run in evaluation mode
immediately after installation. You do not need a license key.
Full functionality is available but every generated output file will contain a watermark
as the only control mechanism for the evaluation to prevent
unlicensed use of the conversion results.
- For image formats generated by pdf2image, PDF FLY
and META FLY,a
red cross is placed across the image.
- For vector formats produced by pdf2picture,
pdf2cad, PDF FLY and META FLY, the watermark consists of some text strings
indicating that our software produced the file, and a grid
of horizontal and vertical lines.
- For ASCII output, dummy text strings are placed into
every page of the .txt output file
You should be able to
measure the quality of the conversion results through the
watermark. The watermark is removed upon purchase. If
you want to see output without the watermark, send us a
test-file and we will perform the conversion for you.

Troubleshooting
Tip - Evaluation Versions only: if your PDF or PostScript file contains a
completely empty page, the software will hang as it tries
to place the watermark. If that happens, please
send the file to
support@visual-integrity.com for us to convert using the
full version.
When I buy a license, how do I get rid of the watermark?
When you buy a copy of our software for Windows, you will receive an email with
a
unique license key tied to your serial number as an email attachment. UNIX and LINUX
customers will need
to provide the hostname of the
machine on which the software will be run before we can
generate this key. The email will have detailed instructions on how to use that license key to upgrade your installation from evaluation mode to unrestricted use. Once you
have successfully licensed the software, the watermark will
be removed. |
