PNG

PNG (Portable Network Graphics) is a file format for the
lossless, portable and well-compressed storage of raster images. A W3C standard and supported by most modern Web browsers, the PNG file format has become
a popular alternative to GIF. While primarily used as an image format for the Web, many desktop applications support import of PNG files as well.
